'Never mess with power-hungry people!'
Or so Sophie's Dad is always telling her. But when her friend Gidaado the Fourth starts working for a famous General, Sophie finds herself mixed up in some very dirty business. She discovers that General Crepe-Sombo is not at all the kind, peaceful man he pretends to be. To expose the villain before he becomes President, Sophie and Gidaado will need all their wits about them. They will also need a dog whistle, a carnivorous plant and an albino camel as fast as the harmattan wind.

Praise for 'Sophie and the Pancake Plot'
The Writeaway comment:
Sophie and the Pancake Plot is a very entertaining read. Sophie is a loveable character and she amuses the reader with her wit and equally with her defiance. She gets herself into some tricky situations but uses the lessons that she has learned throughout the novel to save her. On the whole a funny and very entertaining read. Sophie’s adventure with daring confrontations, secret covert missions and an escape for survival fulfil the expectations required of an adventure story and readers will find it a very enjoyable and exciting read. This novel would be a good addition to any children’s library as it excites the reader’s imagination as Sophie takes the reader with her on her adventure to save Gorom-Gorom.
The Lovereading comment:
An exciting new story about a dodgy election in the African desert, setting up a new chase for Sophie, the tough and spirited little girl and her erstwhile friend, the albino camel. Terrific adventure, almost Kiplingesque in its humour and writing style, children from 6+ will love the wonderful story and the surprising ending. Sophie’s previous exploits include Sophie and the Locust Curse.
